What we do
No Place Like Home exerts itself to secure children’s rights and the best interest of the child in cases of International Child Abduction (ICA). The foundation gathers knowledge to help guide decision makers to making more effective choices in solving ICA related problems, for experts to better deal with victims of ICA, and for individuals at all levels dealing with ICA related problems.
The core value around which the foundation centres its actions is to protect the best interest of the child in the first place. Furthermore, it provides knowledge for individuals confronted with ICA related problems to protect their fundamental human rights and rights to family.
In order to achieve its main objectives, the foundation carries out various tasks. For matters related to ICA, the foundation will:
- conduct academic research and improving knowledge provisions;
- inform the public and raising awareness;
- advise institutions and offering recommendations to decision makers;
- support related initiatives with similar goals.
